Our Mission and Vision
TALIKALA believes that empowerment will only be realized if prostituted women and children (PW/PC) would collectively work to attain it. In its 22 years of existence, the Institution initiated the formation of self-help organizations of Pw/PC. These are Lawig Bubai in Davao City (1993) which means “Sail on, Women”; Tingog sa Kasanag (TISAKA) in Cagayan de Oro City (1998) which means Voice of Enlightenment and Sidlakan alang sa kalingkawasan sa kababayen-an (SIDLAKAN) in General Santos city (200) or Dawn Towards Women’s Emancipation. These are TALIKALA’s partners in its program implementation.
